Atomic Bomb DH

The Atomic Bomb DH race happened a few weeks back in New Mexico as part of the SouthWest Series put on by Timeship Racing. Everyone said the racetrack was fast, tech, gnarly and they can’t wait to come back next year. Predator threw down a few helmets as prizes for the event.

Check out this video from the guys at SkateHouseMedia from the event.

Attack of Danger Bay 10

Last weekend marked Predator’s first time attending a downhill skateboard race and we couldn’t have picked a better race to check out then the legendary Attack of Danger 10. Team Riders Jackson Shaperia and Dave Price were in attendance along with most of the top riders from across Canada and the States. Predator had our booth set up next to the infamous carnage where we had tons of good feedback from riders and lots of interested customers. Luckily, the weather held all day and Canadian Kevin Reimer once again proved he is unstoppable, winning his 2nd Danger Bay, one of only two riders to achieve such a feat. Jacko ended up taking 2nd place behind Kevin, the first time an Australian rider has gotten on the podium at Danger Bay.  Local ripper and world champion Scoot Smith won the consi-finals and placed 5th with his new DH6. Quite a few DH6 lids were spotted on the podium of the 14 and under division and we are stoked to see the groms getting their heads into a Predator helmet.

Buffalo Bill Downhill 2011

The 2011 Buffalo Bill Downhill went off with only one major hitch last weekend. The finals of the race were unable to be held due to a helicopter that was filming the event crashing on course. We’re glad everyone walked away from that uninjured. Check SkateHouseMedia’s footage shot by Jimmy Riha at the bottom .

The BBDH is part of the Southwest Series which is put being sponsored by Timeship Racing and Predator Helmets. The S.L.A.P. and the Atomic Bomb are happening now. Check back soon for coverage of those events.

Josh Rolf, the man behind Munkae Trucks, shows us how to properly apex a turn. Josh has been a supporter of Predator since the beginning.

Jimmy Riha captured all the helicopter action on video. Good thing he had his DH6 on to protect his head from flying heli-shrapnel.

Predator-Attack of Danger Bay 10-Next Run of Helmets

Attack of Danger Bay is Canada’s biggest and one of it’s longest running downhill races. This year they will be celebrating their 10th anniversary and its shaping up to be bigger than ever. Predator is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring Danger Bay as a Race course sponsor.

Bricin Lyon, founder of Coastlongboarding.com and the main man behind Danger Bay had this to say about Predator getting involved with Danger Bay-”10 YEARS ATTACK OF DANGER BAY AND YOU KNOW WHAT WE NEVER HAVE HAD A HELMET SPONSOR. PARENTS WILL LOVE THIS IF YOU HAVE A BOOTH PROMOTING SAFTEY!!!” Predator owner Matt Kelley and Team rider Dave Price will be manning the booth to answer any questions you have about Predator helmets. We will also have a few demo helmets on hand if you want to try a DH6 on. See you on the track!

In other news, the latest run of helmets has finished production and is currently on a boat bound for our distribution facility in Blaine, WA. We know some of you have been waiting very patiently for a few months to get your hands on a DH6, we greatly appreciate your patience, the wait is not long now.

Also, if you are going to the Maryhill freeride this weekend, keep a eye out for a special edition DH6 helmet that will be released shortly. Thats all we can say about that for now!
